MYSTERIOUS OBJECTS OVER MAURY ISLAND!

Harbor Patrolman Reports “Flying Discs” Dumping Debris on His Boat

TACOMA, Wash. (June 29, 2025) — Exactly 78 years ago today, and one week before pilot Kenneth Arnold’s now-famous sighting, Harbor Patrolman Harold Dahl and his crew claimed they saw six silvery, doughnut-shaped objects hovering over the waters off Maury Island. According to Dahl, one of the craft malfunctioned and released a shower of “hot, white metal” onto their vessel—killing the family dog and injuring his son.

A Silent Menace

Dahl reported that he was on routine patrol with his teenage son. He was accompanied by two crewmen and the family pet. This happened late Saturday afternoon—June 21, 1947—when the sighting occurred.

“They flew in near silence,” he recounted. “Then one of them faltered and let loose this heavy, molten debris.”

The falling slag reportedly gouged the boat’s hull, leaving a jagged crater of metal where it struck. Dahl’s son suffered a burn to the arm but escaped more serious injury. The dog, however, was killed instantly.

Official Reaction Under Way

Local authorities have neither confirmed nor denied Dahl’s report, but investigators collected samples of the strange material for analysis. Fred Crisman, Dahl’s supervisor, later inspected the site and retrieved additional fragments—indicating that the U.S. Navy may be taking the matter seriously.

A Stranger in a Dark Suit

Shortly after the event, Dahl claims he was approached by an unidentified man in a dark suit. The man warned him to remain silent about what he had seen. The visitor’s identity and intentions remain unknown, fueling speculation about government involvement—or possible cover-up.

A Pattern of Sightings

Dahl’s account came shortly before Kenneth Arnold’s June 24, 1947 report. Arnold saw nine disc-shaped objects racing over Mount Rainier. This sighting would help launch the modern UFO era. Officials at nearby McChord Field declined to comment on whether military aircraft were in the area. The Army Air Forces have not ruled out a hoax, though further investigations are reportedly ongoing.

Local Sentiment Divided

In Tacoma, reactions remain mixed. “Maybe there’s more to the skies than we know,” said one dockworker. “Seems to me there’s something folks aren’t telling us.”

For now, the origins of the Maury Island objects remain as mysterious as ever. The warning from the man in the dark suit is also still unexplained.
